The system is Davis Vantage PRO2
This is a wireless system receiving signals at the base console from the basic weather instruments:Outside Temperature/Humidity sensor.
Wind speed and direction from Anemometer/Wind vane.
Atmospheric pressure and internal temperature sensor sited indoors.
Rain gauge, Exteral temp and humidity sited close to the amemometer in a Fan aspirated radiation screen.Two additional sensors transmit soil temperature at ground level and at a depth of 300mm

The external instruments are
battery powered with assistance from fitted solar
panels.
The base console is connected
through a serial cable via a datalogger to a comport on my PC using Windows XP. Data is updated half hourly to a summary page and a live situation is updated about every 10 seconds.
